About Me

I recently graduated from Salem State University with a Bachelor's in Art + Design, concentration in Photography, and a minor in Media + Communications.

Throughout my career at Salem State University, I was hand-selected by faculty and staff to photograph: Headshots for part of Salem State University's Meet the Moment Campaign - 2025; Research Day - 2024; Updating photos for the Library Commons Brochure - 2024; Photographer for the Honors Program - 2024 & 2025

While being hand selected for these different projects, being a part of the Center of Justice and Liberation at Salem State University helped further my career. I held the public relations position for the Alliance for 2 years. As well as holding the public relations and secretary positions for the Intersectional Feminist Collective for 2 years as well.

Photography has been my chosen medium to work in, but I like to call myself "a jack of all trades". I curated the Center of Civic Engagement's Advocacy Month Poster for 2 years to help further promote events and cultivate advocacy skills. Painting my mural design on North Campus at Salem State University made me understand other mediums to give more insight in my photography skills.

Along with teachings in art + design, I was also apart of the Honors Program. Through this program, we create an Honors Thesis within our field of work and chose our topics. "Finding Joy in Our Oversaturated World" is an immersive exhibit created by me to explore why it is hard for people to truly live in the moment and what takes us away from the moment. On to my artistic process...

I create pieces and showcase advocacy for issues that I am deeply passionate about. Art has always been my way of showcasing issues I care about - like Abortion Rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, Climate Change, Housing Crisis, the downfall of society, etc.

My work is collaborative with whoever is my subject or model is. I always want to make sure the model or subject being photographed is showcased in a way that they are comfortable with.

Portraiture is my favorite way to shoot photos. I love making people feel comfortable in their own skin and showing them how beautiful they are. We often times get caught up in what people think of us and the negative. Sometimes we just need a little reminder of how amazing of a person you are.

Film Photography is my passion. Creating photos without the fast pace process of a digital camera causes me to slow down, appreciate and interpret the model or subject more. Developing film and printing the images yourself makes you spend more time with the medium, especially every image. Printing takes time and your mind needs to be clear. In a way, it is therapeutic to me as someone who feels the need to rush and be busy all the time because of the society we have created.

Black and White Film Photography is really were my passion lies. This passion was created by this quote:

"While color photography only shows the hues in the image, black and white photography shows the emotions in the image, the real, true, and raw emotions"
